Introducing WHOOP Specialized Panels: Dial Deeper Into Your Health

Standard blood work provides a broad foundation, but it tests the same markers regardless of what you’re trying to understand about your health. WHOOP Specialized Panels are five targeted blood tests — each focused on a single health domain, with 77 to 90 biomarkers including advanced markers not typically found on standard panels. Choose your focus and dial deeper.

What are Specialized Panels?

Specialized Panels are one-time blood tests that go deep on a specific area of health. Each panel includes a foundation of core health markers (metabolic, hormonal, nutritional, inflammatory) plus advanced markers that add depth standard testing doesn’t provide.

Five panels are available:

Heart Health Panel

81 biomarkers

A standard cholesterol panel checks a handful of numbers. This goes deeper into what’s driving cardiovascular risk.

The Heart Health Panel layers advanced lipid particle analysis (LDL particle number, subfractions), vascular inflammation markers (MPO, Lp-PLA2), markers linked to endothelial function (ADMA, SDMA), omega fatty acid profiling, and a more accurate kidney filtration measure (Cystatin C) that standard blood panels don’t include.

Built for: Anyone with a family history of cardiovascular disease. People with elevated or discordant lipid results that don’t match their risk picture.

Performance Health Panel

90 biomarkers

You track your training. This shows how your body is responding to it.

The Performance Health Panel looks at blood production dynamics (reticulocytes, B12, folate), muscle recovery markers (Creatine Kinase), anabolic capacity (IGF-1), thyroid function (Free T3, Free T4), and omega fatty acid profiling, with reference context that accounts for how active bodies differ from the general population.

Built for: High-volume trainers. Endurance athletes with unexplained fatigue. Strength athletes with flagged enzymes. Anyone whose standard labs have read “abnormal” because standard reference ranges come from largely sedentary samples.

Metabolic Health Panel

78 biomarkers

Understand what’s driving your energy, weight, and blood sugar.

The Metabolic Health Panel analyzes multi-timescale glucose markers (1,5-AG, fructosamine, C-Peptide) that reveal what A1c averages over, adipose tissue signaling (leptin, adiponectin), thyroid conversion (Free T3, Free T4), and the micronutrients (zinc, selenium, magnesium, iodine) that support thyroid conversion, insulin sensitivity, and energy metabolism.

Built for: Ages 30–50 with energy or weight concerns. People doing everything right but not seeing results. Anyone with borderline metabolic numbers that don’t add up.

Women’s Health Panel

81 biomarkers

Standard hormone testing may not include the markers that matter most. Understand what’s driving your hormones, energy, and symptoms across every stage of your cycle and life.

The Women’s Health Panel looks at ovarian reserve (AMH), cycle regulators (progesterone, prolactin), thyroid autoimmunity (TPOAb) that can precede clinical thyroid disease by years, and the nutrient foundations (B12, folate, magnesium) that shift as hormonal status changes.

Built for: People navigating perimenopause, fertility planning, or cycle irregularity. People with unexplained fatigue, weight changes, or mood shifts whose standard hormone panel came back “normal.”

Men’s Health Panel

77 biomarkers

Understand what’s actually driving your testosterone, energy, and long-term health.

Check in on your prostate health with context (Total PSA, Free PSA, % Free PSA, a three-marker pattern, not a single number), how testosterone is being converted and used in your body (DHT), the metabolic and mineral factors behind hormone production (leptin, zinc, magnesium), and kidney-metabolic patterns (uric acid) that often travel together in men.

Built for: People concerned about prostate health or testosterone changes. People focused on hormonal optimization at any age. Anyone with “low T” symptoms whose testosterone number alone doesn’t explain what they’re feeling.

Each panel goes beyond standard testing with advanced markers selected for that specific health domain. With WHOOP Specialized Panels, you choose the area of focus and get the depth to understand what’s driving how you feel, and how to improve it.

How it works

  1. Choose your panel. Pick the health domain you want to dial deeper on. No baseline test or prior blood work required.

FAQ

How are Specialized Panels different from the Comprehensive Health Panel?

The Comprehensive Health Panel covers 75 biomarkers across every major body system and is designed for longitudinal monitoring, retesting 2 to 6 times per year to see how your health changes over time. Specialized Panels go deeper on a single domain with 77 to 90 biomarkers, including advanced markers selected for that health area.

Do I need the Comprehensive Health Panel first?

No. Specialized Panels are standalone blood tests. No baseline, no prior blood work, no subscription required.

How is this different from the blood work my doctor orders?

A typical annual physical checks roughly 25 markers with reference ranges designed for broad population screening. Specialized Panels test 77 to 90 biomarkers with advanced markers selected for a specific health domain. Key reference ranges are calibrated for a healthy, active population. Your results are reviewed by a clinician and interpreted alongside your daily WHOOP data.

Can I use FSA/HSA to pay?

Yes. All Specialized Panels are FSA/HSA eligible at $299 per panel.

Where do I get tested?

All testing is done through Quest® Diagnostics at 2,000+ locations nationwide. Book directly through the WHOOP app. No referral needed.

Can I take more than one Specialized Panel?

Yes. Each panel is an independent test. You can take multiple panels if you want depth across more than one health domain.
