WHOOP Joins Forces with Diplo’s Run Club to Celebrate the Intersection of Music, Wellness, and Community

The first New York 5k will welcome 12,000 runners on October 25th, in Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens.

What began as Diplo’s personal journey with running for mental clarity has quickly grown into a cultural movement that blends fitness, music, and community.
DRC is a series of 5K runs followed by Diplo performances in eight cities across the country in late 2025 and early 2026. WHOOP will be activating at select stops including in New York and Miami, providing expertise in performance and recovery to runners in high-energy, wellness-driven environments.
A Movement at the Crossroads of Culture & Wellness
Diplo’s Run Club represents the next chapter in the running renaissance, making running more social, accessible, and joyful. With running seeing a resurgence among Gen Z and Millennial audiences, DRC taps into the momentum by turning performance into celebration. It’s a mini music festival with Diplo and friends.
Running also plays a central role within the WHOOP community. It is the third most logged activity across all WHOOP members, accounting for 10% of total activities, a trend that holds steady across gender, geography, and motivation. Among male members, running is tied for the third most logged activity at 9%, while among female members it ranks third at 10%. For performance-focused members, it similarly holds at 9%. Even as walking has risen in popularity, particularly among wellness-focused and older members, running remains a core cardiovascular activity for WHOOP members.

The DRC Experience
Every stop on the DRC tour will feature a timed 5K run complete with bibs, water stations, finisher medals, and Diplo himself lacing up alongside participants. The race will flow directly into an outdoor afterparty - a festival-style gathering with live music and 10–12 brand activations. At the heart of this celebration, WHOOP will have a Recovery Station, designed to showcase the brand’s recovery and performance ethos. Runners can recharge at the Recovery Station with Normatec boots, foam rollers, and massage guns, while live WHOOP data is displayed through app integrations to provide real-time insights. The booth will also be built for social-first moments, where attendees can wear WHOOP, capture live heart-rate photos and videos, and share their branded experience. Diplo is expected to visit the WHOOP booth at each stop, creating valuable social content that extends the reach and impact of the partnership.
